I'm the only surviving member of a family of 6, which, at age 40 gives me a different perspective on life than most. 

My father was a Nascar driver at the time I was born ( '65 ), so  I seem to have inherited an inherent knack for driving.  I decided not to channel it in that direction though.

I've been separated for two years with a divorce pending.  I've found a wonderful, supportive partner who understands my need to stay connected to and supportive of my two children.  I have a son, 15 and a daughter, 9.

 My daughter was born with Down's Syndrome and I grew up in a household with a foster sister with the same disability.  Most people have no idea what these children are capable of when loved and supported.  I've seen talented concert pianists, kid's who've gone on to college and licensed drivers with Down's.  The Kennedys realized the potential when they started Special Olympics.

I was involved for a time with The Mankind Project, a self growth adventure and ensuing lifestyle for men and women.  It was probably the most influential thing I've ever been involved in during my life.  I've seen Men's lives change 180 degrees in the course of one weekend and the ensuing support groups help to facilitate that experience into their lives.

Now I'm just a budding lay buddhist, a mad poet in the beat tradition, a photographer of nature and  ignored architecture and painter of faux finishes, murals and stories. (got all that?)
